We consider the ways we benefit from clean water that is provided by the colonial state while denying it to others. Boil water advisories remain active in 55 communities in Ontario, of which the overwhelming amount are on First Nation reserves. Even as we try our best to reduce our environmental footprint, the renovation of the salon, product packaging, and our modes of transit benefit from the extractive oil industry. We will commit to doing everything in our ability to lessen our reliance on fossil fuels to respect indigenous sovereignty and reducing our waste and environmental impact.

We also run various fundraisers including a drive for Streethaven at the Crossroads, raffle for a haircut benefitting Fearless Beauty, and our annual Small Business Saturday sale with 5% donated to Black Creek Community Farm (2020), the Western Canada Wilderness Committee (2021).
